Strep Butt????!!!!!

Landon has had some weird stuff going on with his butt this past week. His butt crack was red and he had bumps just outside the crack. Not the normal diaper rash bumps. He would complain about it some during the day and would wake up a couple nights crying about it. We tried to put diaper cream on it but he freaked out crying. Then I put Neosporin on it and that didn't seem to bother him but it wasn't making it go away. So I finally called a local Pediatrician to make an appointment today. The nurse weighed him and got his height but I forgot to look or ask what it was. She also took his blood pressure. She told him before she took it that she was going to put something on his arm that would be giving his arm a hug. So after we were done with the appt. he talked to Ron on the phone for a minute and told him that his arm got a hug and that the doctor fixed his butt. It was so cute! Anyways, when we were in seeing the doctor, he immediately said after looking at it that it looked like strep butt. What???? I had never heard of strep butt. He said it was more common than you would think. He did a test and it came up positive for it. He prescribed antibiotic and some cream. He said it should be better by the end of the week. He also checked his eyes because he thought it looked like Landon's left eye was turned in a bit. But his eye sight came back as 20/20 so it may just looked turned in due to having a broad nose bridge he said. So anyways, that is what we are dealing with right now! Fun, fun, fun! 

Conversation in the doctor parking lot before appt:

Me: We are going to see the doctor to get you some medicine for your butt.

Landon: yeah, ha ha ha. I'm going to get a new butt!

He is so funny!
